Sentient world: war games on the grandest scale

Perhaps your real life is so rich you don't have time for another.

Even so, the US Department of Defense (DOD) may already be creating a copy of you in an alternate reality to see how long you can go without food or water, or how you will respond to televised propaganda.

The DOD is developing a parallel to Planet Earth, with billions of individual "nodes" to reflect every man, woman, and child this side of the dividing line between reality and AR.

Called the Sentient World Simulation (SWS), it will be a "synthetic mirror of the real world with automated continuous calibration with respect to current real-world information", according to a concept paper for the project.

Is it bad that one of my first reactions is "God damn I want a copy of this and the hardware to run it on?"

1. That hardware probably isn't Vista capable, so you should wait a few months.

:-)

2. Do "they" know about the time I ate rats for 3 weeks...
Just to see if I could live in the swamp?

Probably not.

And if they do now, I DARE them to add two and two together. Combine those two programs, and see what comes out. I DOUBLE dare you.

"The Matrix is a computer-generated dream world built to keep us under control in order to change a human being into this. (holds up a Duracell battery)..."

4. They've done pretty well at creating an alternative reality without this software--
the alternative reality of, what the fuck are we doing occupying a foreign country and killing its people, shut up and get used to it; of, rightwing Bushite corporations "counting" all our votes with "trade secret" proprietary programming code, huh? you say what? that can't be true, surely the Democrats wouldn't...shut up and go shopping and send us your campaign donations; of, neither the president nor vice president of the United States are part of the Executive Branch of the government and therefore are not obliged to obey any of the laws of the United States--torturing prisoners, spying without a warrant, shredding all their papers, giving no-bid contracts to their 'golden parachute" companies, defying Congressional subpoenas, creating well-paid mercenary armies with our tax dollars--you name it, they don't have to obey it--you've got to be kidding, this can't happen in the U.S., go to sleep, sleep....

BushWorld, USA. Alice's Wonderland, where the white roses get painted red, cuz the Red Queen wants it that way.

Don't need no stinking software. (--except Diebold's.)
