No Bush/Gordon Brown telephone call as of yet since the UK incidents....
Edited on Sat Jun-30-07 04:43 PM by DeepModem Mom
From David Shuster on MSNBC, as he talked live to Kennebunkport.

They tried to get Bush off the speed boat, but he just waved? Bush is the LAST person in the world Brown wants to talk to just now? Whattup?

1. Isn't it telling that so many of us feel so cynical about everything?
Me included. Cynical towards incidents, perceiving them as attempts to continue to try to manipulate things for political/financial gain. Telling indeed.

2. It is. I buy Olbermann's "Nexus of Poltiics and Terror," but I'm not as cynical as some here.
There ARE incidents of terror around the world from time to time, and our horror of a war in Iraq does not help (and neither does, for example, IMO, the recent knighthood of Salman Rushdie). I'm not as ready to dismiss every incident as distraction, especially when it comes from abroad. Also, Olbermann's list of domestic distractions, I believe, are things dug up from the files as needed.

4. Why on earth would the new PM of Britain want to consult with Bush on terrorism
...and also when it comes to terror attacks Bush's MO is to finish having fun first, no emergency is ever too critical to interrupt Shrub's* vacation...:sarcasm:
