The LIve Earth production is excellent.
I've been intermittently watching all through the night. The little segments are engaging, funny and informative. The people who put this together ought to be applauded.

As an FYI, Al Gore will be speaking at the DC venue shortly.

1. Good thread
Much applause to the literally thousands of people, that we don't get to see, running around like headless chickens to pull this monumental event off right now.

4. Wembley is sold out, I think - the concert will go on for hours, the crowd
will build. The opening acts aren't the BIGGIES.

Also, the start times are EARLY Live Earth London starts at 1:30 p.m. ...

6. Day-long concerts always start out that way
most won't get there until the big names are on. I did think the SOS band opening was awesome. And I think 12 Girls Band doesn't play their own instruments. ;)

11. It requires Internet Destroyer - I refuse to use ....
....and even WITH IE/ID, I get java errors. Oh well!

Now nazi of 'em to require us to us MickeySnot's browser to see all the concerts. Hmph.

REGARDLESS that, I'm happy to see this going so well and that the music/production quality is good!

16. Well, the entire internet broadcast is donated by MSN
That's major dollars.

IE is a great product if you would just give it a chance. I'm a web developer and use every browser known to man, IE is still my browser of choice because I like it and I like developing for it. There is nothing inherently wrong with IE, but the myth still remains.

Move on dammit! :)

21. Al Gore will be on again in 10 minutes
at the DC site.

I agree with you - the production is over the top. The GREEN video choice is not to be missed. Commercials and animations that are VERY entertaining as well as informative. I hope they get picked up after this concert to air as PSAs.

My favorite is the plastic bag 'What does it Take to Change the Habit of a Lifetime'. Humor is very effective in getting an important point across... wish it was used more often.

I switched to Sundance just to see if the coverage was better... and I don't have to listen to those two chirrpy spokesmodel "hosts."
