Each TV channel should have run Live Earth 24 hours on 777
other programs on EVERY CHANNEL (even the golf channel!) should have been completely canceled except for quick news updates every hour to show Live Earth from start to finish.
They should have started with the earlier time zones and had many discussions with politicians of all countries about what they thought. Yes, some channel did devote some time to Live Earth but not enough.
It may have got through to people if their favorite ball game was postponed til later
