In Campaign 2008 Only One Person Has Really Stood Above The Rest (Opinion Only)
I've been watching the wannabes on TV, C-Span's "Road to the Whitehouse" and national news coverage being where most of what I've watched came from.

One person stands out in my mind as far and away the best speaker and clearness of thought.

Michelle Obama.

Its a shame she's not running for anything. I find her far more impressive than any of the declared candidates for the nomination; I think she's as good an off-the-cuff speaker as Bill Clinton, and that's saying something. The woman is articulate and she stays on point. I've never seen her dodge a question and her answers generally reflect a sound progressive attitude. Even though I am no great supporter of her husband (nothing wrong with him, I'm just a Gore person) I hope to see more of her on the campaign circuit.

2. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Did you just call a black woman "articulate?"
What're you, some sort of racist?

6. After the past 7 years, I'm happy when anyone in the campaign is "articulate"
She's also smarter than a gerbil, more moral than most concentration camp guards and I don't generally want to vomit when I see her face. All improvements, IMHO.

4. Don't forget Elizabeth Edwards
Now THAT's a ticket I could support: Edwards/Obama. Just not the two guys who are currently running...

9. I agree that this woman is more than impressive!
She is real, and it shows. I believe that her lack of "pre"ambition for her husband to seek the highest office in the land is why she is so uncalculated and genuine. She reminds me a lot of Gert Clark who has the same qualities.

She would make an outstanding First Lady and certainly she would be more than just an outstanding politician! :bounce:

10. Agree with you--she's a true asset to her husband, and would make a
wonderful First Lady.

I like her too. Also like her union working class roots.
