1. Don't call it an approval rating anymore
call it what it is; the imbecilic index.

13% of the public are imbeciles.

23. Yeah, it makes more sense to report the disapproval rating.up to 87%
It's a pretty amazing # when you think about it. He's lost 1/2 of the base? Why is he still in office?

5. They oughta publish their names.
Those are the kind of people that scare the crap out of me.

Can you imagine how warped they must surely be?

My family is deep in KBR and when Cheney was at Halliburton even they thought he was nuts.

based on US population? Counting kids? Not sure they have an opinion...or at least not an informed one.

18. Do you think it is 13% of total population or strictly adults polled?
And I am using the word "adults" very loosely here.

7. There's just one detail - Pres. Cheney doesn't give a xxxx (select your own) The good
news is that some other Republicans care and I don't care that they care. I'm thrilled and can't wait until it's 9. In civilized nations, he would step down. But, he's the Pres. and PNAC and the Barons need him.

9. Front page in the Daily Mirror tomorrow... "How can 13% of the American
people be so stupid???"

http://www.progressiveu.org/160000-how-can-59-054-087-people-be-so-dumb
By Stewart N. Thorpe of Citizen Press Revolution

In the aftermath of the 2004 U.S. election, a British newspaper, the Daily Mirror, asked "How can 59,054,087 people be so dumb? A few days later, the Weekly Guardian which is highly respected internally replied that: "Maybe it's the papers they're reading."

On June 17th 2005, the Washington Post's Dana Milbank brushed over the seriousness of the Downing Street Memo and Congress' discussion of it. It purported that just one member mentioned the Downing Street Minutes on the House or Representatives or the Senate floor. Just the day before, Senate Democratic Leader, Harry Reid, mentioned it on the Snate Floor. Moreover, the House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi signed a letter by U.S. representative John Conveys D-Michigan along with 121 other Democrats asking for answers about the memo. Dana Milbank of the Washington Post also glossed over the fact that the moment the hearing was scheduled to begin of the Downing Street Memo, the Republican Leadership scheduled 11 consecutive floor votes resulting in blocking out any participation for the Downing Street Memo's hearing for the first hour and a half of it. Nor does Milbank make note of the testimony there of a woman who lost her son in Iraq and feels lied to by her government as a result of the Downing Street Memo's minutes.
