People are still dying, arms and legs are being severed, metal is crashing through human bodies..."

And the doom of man is that he should forget.

The only concern politicians have is getting re-elected which is why the Dems in congress aren't going to end the war so much as wait for the time when they can be assured such a stance won't end their careers. Too many perks to give up by voting one's conscience.
