If we spent the iraq war funding on alternative energy....
Osama could eat the sand and drink the oil for all we could care. The best way to defeat the Mid East terrorists is to get energy independant. We are wasting resources in Iraq everyday that sure could have gone a long way towards true national security. And as a side benifit our air, water and land would be cleaner. Besides I want everyone in Rush Limbaugh's neighbor hood to erect shiny new solar panels and shine a bit of light on that dark little garden gnome!

1. Why, yes. But Exxon would not be happy.
What really matters here?

3. Exxon can fund a campaign...but they cannot out vote 70% and rising of Americans now can they?
26% popularity rating in my opinion is a pretty good referendum on the Mobil Exxon Administration.

It is time to not only start looking to buy solar panels and more independant and alternative energy sources,,,,but to DEMAND at the polls we get more research and support of these technologies.

Alternative and independant energy sources are the best path to national and economic security as things stand now, If a serious democrat comes forth, states this case and shows that the democrats and not the republicans are the best option for security...He or She, takes away the main playing card any Republican has. Kerry in all his wind surfing wisdom, never did make a strong case for alternative energy sources development. It is a strategic move to ensure our independance and security. Democrats must push this hard, I hope one day a candidate REJECTS oil company money for their campaign...That act alone would garner massive amounts of attention and show we the American people they are not obligated to Mobil....That combined with a serious argument on how it is our best option for security...would in my opinion be a winning and GREAT combination. The online world has changed everything...Candidates can generate as much buzz online as they can on a paid TV ad...It is time for someone to use these new tools to overcome the politics of obligation...and only be obligated to the people he or she serves.
