If there were to be an Impeachment trial do you think Americans would pay attention?
We know they don't pay much attention to what is going on now. Most only get their news from Fox or CNN or network news. We knw how they tell us what's happening. Everyone knows about Paris Hilton but do they know who Harriet Meyers is? Or Sarah Taylor? Hell no they don't. Most don't even know a single Supreme Court Justice. It is my belief though that if Impeachment were to take place it would make the news at least a little bit..Maybe someone might learn something...
2. hell I payed attention to the watergate hearings
and I was but a young man fresh back from a hellhole with other things on my mind but I still paid attention to the hearings. So my answer would be yes they would for the most part.
12. If Americans paid attention I believe it would be difficult to vote for any Republican
that voted not to convict and remove. Republicans would most assuredly be in the hot seat. It is a win win situation whether Bush* and Cheney are removed or not..
13. I wholeheartedly agreee with your sentiments, but...
...impeachment proceedings are not a "trial". The trial takes place in the US Senate. Articles of impeachment are voted on by the House. Think of this as a "grand jury". If the House passes the Articles of Impeachment, then the US Senate acts and holds the "trial" of the impeached official in question.
But whatever you want to call it, Impeachment and the Senate Trial needs to happen and NOW!!! It is the only way to restore integrity to this corrupt, criminal government.
Still no word in the MSM about the hearings yesterday. My guess is, if an impeachment trial were to take place we'd have an instant terra attack of some sort, and/or the MSM will suddenly find that an entire bus full of beautiful young white women have gone missing.
