If Congressional Republicans Aren't Going To Stand Up For The Powers Of Their Own Branch...

is it time for Democrats to threaten the "nuclear option" with regards to filibusters???

I don't like this, at all, and I really don't like acting like the scum we've witnessed for the past six+ years in congress (rePukes).

But if John Dean is right, and the conservative judiciary is gonna let the Bush WH roll over the powers of the legislative branch, we may have no other choice.

Is their another way???

Or have we reached "desperate times call for desperate measures" time?

2. Its a great idea, but I don't think it would work for the dems

The only reason it would have worked for the repukes is that Cheney would have ruled as President of the Senate. I imagine that Cheney would not rule the same way now as he would have ruled a year ago.
