3. I wonder about Gore and Kerry

When Al Gore chose Shrum, Shrum was 0 for 6. When John Kerry chose Shrum, Shrum was 0 for 7. Way back in my manager days, the Personnel Section always told us that had to interview prospective employees that past behavior predicts future events. I guess neither Gore or Kerry ever heard that saying or believed it.

4. Actually as every stock broker is required to tell you -

past behavior is not a predictor of future events. It is not a predictor, but it is a huge data point that should be carefully evaluated. Shrum is a stooge for the corrupt cesspool in washington.

7. Look at it the other way.

You hire the programmer because he has a stellar track record. He gets hit by a bus one week later. How's your prediction doing now? Not a good reason to not look at past performance, of course you should, but it does not predict the future.
