looks like the new "excuse" for NOT impeaching is a question of time. Would take too long and would prevent Congress from more important things.
Well, between the republics fillibustering/blocking votes and bush being veto happy Congress is not getting much done anyways
I snort whenever I hear some congress critter or loyal bushie begins an excuse with "The American people want...." or "The American people don't want...."
How the hell do they know what WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE want or don't want when they don't listen?
We write letters, make phone calls or otherwise contact a congress critter and then they tell us what we want or don't want...
Iraq is not going to end as long as bush/cheney have their butts in the White House, and from the looks of things any exit plan or withdrawal plan from Iraq is going to be made by going through Iran.
Impeachment a waste of time? Well NOT impeaching means wasting lives.
1. The best remedy for 'Do Nothing Congresses' is to make certain..........
THEY don't have the opportunity to do nothing AGAIN!! Our representatives and senators think they always know what is best for 'US' BUT if you look at their track record over the last thirty years it is a disgusting, pitiful, dismal picture. The time has come for 'We the People' to take charge and remove some of the old dead wood from office; the old dead wood perpetuates a lot of this arrogant 'WE' know what's best for the American People do nothing thinking. Our system of government is dysfunctional and broken and the ONLY people that are going to fix it are 'US'. The Dems say impeachment is a waste of time because they know the rethugs in congress will do whatever is necessary to block it and the Dems don't have the guts to try and force it. Meanwhile it is corrupt criminal business as usual with bushco on the brink of starting another war.
