Daniel Pearl's widow sues al-Qaeda

The widow of US journalist Daniel Pearl is suing Pakistan's biggest bank and terrorist organisations, including al-Qaeda, for the 2002 kidnapping, torture and murder of her husband.

Mariane Pearl alleges that Habib Bankfunnelled donations to al-Qaeda and several associated groups and that it provided services to charities with the knowledge that they were "terrorist" groups.

Al Rashid trust, banned in the US for acting as a front charity for al-Qaeda, publicly received donations through accounts with the bank, according to the complaint.

From the article:

"I am looking for the truth of what happened to Daniel, for our family, our friends, and the public record," Mrs Pearl said in a statement.

"This process allows us to delve deeper into the investigation, and to bring accountability and punishment to those involved with his kidnapping, torture and murder."

Why she should just "move on"? I'm assuming you don't think that Cindy Sheehan should've just 'moved on'?

Pearl's widow is doing something that she believes will not only benefit her personally, but will be beneficial generally. Will it turn out to be a fool's mission? Maybe, but many people said the same thing about Sheehan and I would say that her efforts did help (although I think she may have taken a wrong turn in her strategy as of late).
