Republicans in quandry, becoming increasingly desperate
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 12:16 PM by quinnox
I'm loving this pit the republicans are in. Mostly dug by their commander in chief Bush. They are between the devil and the deep. It is becoming clear they won't win anything in 2008 if they continue to back Bush's war, they even risk another election blowout, but if they abandon Bush and the Iraq war then they alienate their hard core base, which is all the people they have left to support them.

I predict this quandry will make the republicans more and more desperate as the election comes closer, it will be fun to watch.

2. With All the Quandaries the Democrats Have,
I would not want to be in the Republicans' shoes this year.

4. If the Bushistas don't stage a coup.
But what will be left for the Dems to inherit even if there is no coup?

3. Until the Reps either force GW
to resign or start impeachment proceedings nothing will change.

11. I agree. A Hail Mary Pass is in order. Republicans should start the
impeachment hearings, and outright steal the thunder from the democrats.

THAT'S desperate.

5. I agree, but I think because of the hole they are in,
they will become increasingly nasty. Watch out.

12. thank you -- cornered animals get nasty
And they are liable to go along with anything the Death Monkey wants, in order to kid themselves into thinking they have some modicum of control. In for a penny, in for a pound is their motto lately.

7. They might as well alienate their hard core base..
there isn't enough of them to re-elect the b'stards anyway.
