Watched the debate, my humble thoughts:
Like they do in business, when the market has too many brands, they start consolidating - We need mergers and acquisitions in the Democratic field.

Nutshell: we need fewer candidates to to sharpen the message. I am extremely proud of all of them!!!

1. Depends on the message.
Less input, less debate.

2. Don't you think too many of them are sounding too similar?
I am talking in general...We know where the party stands so to speak.

3. If it gets down to three,
you'll see and hear more similarity.

4. If they are sounding similar, what does that mean?
That we have folks who are on message and that we need to choose from who is 'electable'?

If all said the same things, who do you think would have the best chance at winning the general election?

(not being contrary to your post, just asking because you bring up an interesting issue - if they all start saying the same thing, which one would we vote for and why?)

8. I have to say Obama, because I think he is the most inspiring candidate
I think independents and many others (from both parties and maybe first time voters) will be motivated to elect a FRESH face, younger person, and yes, less Washington experience...IMHO.

6. Yep. We really only need three candidates, by my reckoning.
Kucinich, Edwards, and Gore.

Of course.
