why would a candidate care if they only made minimum wage as POTUS?

they'll probably spend close to $100 million or more to get the job- when you look at it from that perspective, the difference between $400,000 and $12,000 seems pretty insignificant.

1. That question was worded stupidly
They should have asked if the candidate could describe what their life would be like if they HAD to work for minimum wage in their districts.

asks the Repugs this. I can only imagine the dodging and weaving and bobbing they'd do over it.

It was kind of a stupid question in light of all the money that flows in and out of Washington on any given day.
