Censure? Only censure?
I fully understand that you, apparently among others such as Speaker Pelosi and Representative Conyers, view the impeachment of Bush and Cheney as potential distractions from the urgent business facing the Legislative branch. However, I believe impeachment is becomingincreasingly an imperative action. First, only removal from office would be an adequate measure to convey the grievous nature of the Administration's violations of the law. Second, only removal would make America secure from the predatory actions of the Administration; and third, the impeachment process in itself would serve as a remedy to the ongoing abuse of Executive Privilege: An administration under investigation for "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" cannot use Privilege to shield itself from Congressional inquiries into possible malfeasance in office.
