Shelby County sheriff's investigators are interviewing at least 10 more people about a former Walnut Grove Baptist Church pastor charged with sexually abusing a church youth.
Steven C. Haney, 46, of Cordova, who retired as the church's pastor last year after 20 years, was charged July 12 with molesting the boy for five years, beginning when the victim was 15.
"We've had contact with as many as 10 people who say they are victims or who want to give investigators information about Rev. Haney," said sheriff's spokesman Steve Shular.

The investigation began in late June after the 21-year-old told a parent that he and Haney had engaged in sex from September 2001 through last December, when the son ended the relationship. The acts took place in the pastor's office, at Haney's home, and at the suspect's mother's home, according to the affidavit.
