I've been challenged to find a way to blame the oil refinery explosion on Bush.
Any ideas?

What Bush policies may have contributed to this failure?

3. Well, I'm not sure...

They said the cause was due to a malfunctioned pigtail connector. Unless you can find something that says safety regulations have been relaxed due to Bush policies which contributed to it I'm not sure if you can. To be honest, I don't think I would have gone this route unless I already knew beforehand that it was for a fact.

on edit: Keep in mind that this could have been a simple accident due to the connector and no one's fault at all.

4. Maybe Governor George Bush's laissez-faire business policies?
You know, that Bush honor system canard that says businesses are basically good and will police themselves? Regulation was never welcome in Bush's Texas.

5. Why do you have to find ways to blame things on Bush. He has done
enough wrong that you don't need to make weak connections to find him responsible for every event that goes wrong. Farfetched and incorrect connections work to diminish your credibility and the credibility of people who hold Bush responsible for other things where the fault is more apparent and concrete.

8. Didn't he cut back safety regulations as governor?
Didn't he let private companies inspect themselves instead of a government inspector?

9. If you blame it on Bush, THEN I would say you were challenged.
Fire Department Lieutenant Joel Lavender blames the accident on the malfunction of a "pigtail" connector, which is used to join the tanks during the filling process.
