First, I don't fear right-wingers, and they never censor what I have to say.

I self-censor at DU because it's a partisan board. If I have something political to say that falls outside DU rules, I say it elsewhere.

many now, it seems, are too embarrassed to admit they are /or were republican!!

that is a good sign...now... we ..all of us, must educate others more than ever..to what this administration has done to our constitution , and bill of rights..and to this once proud nation.

I'd be offended if my posts didn't occasionally cause them to rip the head off the little plastic baby jesus enshrined on the bookshelf. And the bookshelf is pretty tiny because it only needs to hold one book -- the one with all the allegories and fairy tales these people tell themselves to justify their miserable little thought-free, unexamined existences.

I haven't censored myself when I've written and posted. However I have held back from commenting on certain things; not from fear of the right (it never even occurs to me to give a damn what they might think-----wait, they think?), but knowing that some of my opinions , being born of free and independent thinking about issues, don't always fit into accepted leftist " conventional wisdom". I'm sort of ashamed of myself for this self-censoring and one of these days will have the guts to post something that will result in me being attacked as being a republican or something , despite my whole life since being a politically aware kid has been as a a dedicated progressive.

Reichwingers consider anyone to the left of Atilla the Hun to be crazy anyway.
