Am I the only one concerned about the upcoming Senate recess?
I'm thrilled to read about the latest subpoenas, contempt charges, and what looks like a potential spine in congress.

But I have to temper that with a fear of what will happen when they all go on break in a week. Particularly in regards to Alberto G.

Am I alone?

2. No, you are not alone.
I thought Reid had it fixed so that technically, the Senate would never be in recess. Wasn't someone supposed to show up from time to time to meet the requirements?

3. There are vacancies, so yes, I'm concerned.
At this stage of the game, I would hope that the leadership, (if there IS a risk of serious mischief), would NOT recess.

Reid has already announced contingency plans like meeting every ten days or so to prevent that recess pen from working overtime. Go Dems - get these rats in traps now.

Sp.,add.

I hadn't heard about Harry's plan so that is reassuring.

You know damn well those slimey buggers in the WH have plans for the recess.

5. I worry about recess appointments and other bullshit they could pull.
You bet, I think the poll I did last week expressed that worry in the 80% points with over 120 votes.

12. I wish they would not recess during
August. There may be some momentum going now about all this WH and AG crap and I would hate to see it falter. It would be a powerful message to the WH if they remain in session. We do not need to give the WH any extra time to rearrange the deck chairs to their satisfaction.

18. Only the ones who put up their mats after nap time get recess
The others have to stay behind and clean the gum out from under the seats.
