The people of the South East geo political zone have been advised to rely more on prayers and not their physical strength for the fulfillment of their political and economic destiny in Nigeria.

The chairman of Ebonyi state Pilgrims Board, Rev. (Dr) Olughu Uduma Oji, who made the call in Abakaliki, during a press conference, also announced that thousands of Igbos from all over the world would gather in Abakaliki from 23 to 25 August 2007 to take part in the 12th edition of All Igbo Race Prayer Summit with the theme: "Return to God".

On why the Igbo problems appear to be on the increase despite such prayers, Rev. Oji said it also like that when God promised to bring the Israelites out of Egypt, but that eventually God's promise was fulfilled.

He however added that God has been answering the prayers of the Igbo, noting that it was exactly one year after the maiden edition of the prayer summit at Owerri, Imo state capital that God exposed the Otokoto ritualists, and that within the period God has also used people like the CBN GOVERNOR, pROF. Charles Soludo, NAFDAC boss, Prof. Dora Akunyili among others to promote the Igbo race.
