In contrast to all the crap in sports today .....
...... this is the weekend that the man who got the third highest percentage of votes in history will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The man who, many say, quite literally saved the game after a devastating strike. The man who set many records, but set one in particular that is based on honor and duty and perseverance and not special skills.

He is a man **completely** untainted by scandal.

The good guys do, in fact, win.

Cal Ripken, Jr., is surely one of the good guys.

6. I remember when he married his wife, Kelly
She always reminded me of Princess Di. I have no idea what Kelly's personality is like (she's not a limelight hound), but the physical resemblance is there.
