If the Democratically controlled Congress approves this....
my head will explode.

http://rawstory.com/news/2007/US_plans_massive_arms_deal_for_0727.html

This will accomplish NOTHING more than keeping this illegal war going, and inflame the tensions in Israel/Palestine/Lebanon/Syria/Iran, etc even more.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

1. $20 billion for the Saudis and $30 billion for the Israelis ... "fair and balanced"
:puke:

The USA peddles the best death and destruction in the world.

10. Just think what 50 bil could do for Americans.
What would those countries do for us in return? I am not an isolationist at all, but there comes a time when charity begins at home. This administration acts as if there are money trees in the rose garden and have doled it out in Iraq as if it were candy. How much more debt can we take?

9. Yes it does.
There needs to be a way to limit military indutrial complex influence, foreign government influence, and the think tanks formed to feed those interests without due diligence to consequences.

4. More arms for a world that is so overburdened with killing
machines. Who benefits from this deal, more manufacturers of guns, ammo, tanks etc. Can you say Halibutron?

We have too many guns on this planet, how about we spend 30 billion on a "turn-them-in" program.

This deal can only serve to place the middle east in an even worse situation.
