I was pestering Chloe a little while ago, I gave her a little combing, she loves that.

Cosmo's appointment went better than expected. After an examination and an ultrasound, the renal specialist said, depending on how he responds to treatment in the next 24 to 48 hours, she thinks we may be able to manage Cosmo's condition. He'll be in the hospital for at least the weekend, but we can go visit him. At least we have a little hope now. If he doesn't responds as well as she expects, at least we'll have the comfort of knowing we tried. Please keep your fingers crossed.

We're hoping it's IBS because that can be treated with an adjustment in his diet. We'll find out after his ultrasound.

He's getting really great care there. We finished up there at about 3 this afternoon. I got home at about 4:30 (damned Holland Tunnel holiday traffic, but Cosmo's worth it) and the doctor called a little after 5 to let me know how he was doing. She said they got him to eat a plate of food. I was so happy. I'm so glad my regular vet recommended this hospital.

You don't know how glad we are. If he were 4 or 5 yearsolder, we might not have taken this step; but he's only 7 and it's worth it if he has a chance of at least a few more years with a decent quality of life.

I posted a link to a report on The NewsHour in GD in a thread I started. Our soldiers are the most disciplined people on the planet to put up with that shit for 15 months. One soldier said he is pissed because they would have been going home in a week if Congress (with the brains of a two year old) hadn't allowed bush to extend them to 15 months. He said he'd do another 1 months, no extra pay, if Bush and the others would do it with him.

I saw it too, my heart broke when I saw that old woman crying, she could have been anyone's grandmother, and that Sgt. Vassell, calling the Congress two year olds, yep he was right about that, those guys in the Congress do not know shit what is happening to our troops out there and those innocent civilians.:hi: :hug:

A long, long, time ago, my family name may have been Vassall, and there may have been other variations which also ended up being my maiden name. Anyway, some of the Vassalls came through the caribbean, and some were in America very early, but the ones that came through the caribbean may have been slave traders (these would be cousins of my ancestors). And my ancestors may have been loyal to King George, which explains my family tree's financial destitution! You just never know.

TGIF! and I'm sorry that I'm late, but a deputy from the sheriff's dept. just left my house. I rec'd a wrong number call on my answering machine, that sounded threatening to me, and to my 2 teenaged sons, even though they didn't hear the message together, nor at the same time! I even mentioned, 'I guess you hear this and worse all the time', or something rather close.' My boys are pissed that he left with a rather carefree attitude!

Damn! He even asked me about my biggest concern about the message and I stated, "There's someone out there who dialed a wrong number, but who thinks he called one of his kids and he's threatening the mother of that kid, and there's a woman somewhere who may be in danger from this guy." Pardon me while my head just explodes!

The deputy didn't seem very interested! :mad: No Nosy, but I still go out and look. I've seen buzzards, and I've gotten out of the pool while the family was playing in the pool, to put on clothes appropriate for walking through the woods, and I've found no trace of him.

I'm okay, because, as stated earlier, my sons heard the message separately without anything being said by me, and they both (17 yrs. and 14 yrs.) heard it as a threat to a woman...so I guess I've done something correctly! They were pissed at the laid back attitude of the deputy.

He listened to the message and then we had to give him the name listed on the caller ID, and replay the message so that he could verify the phone numbers the he called from and the number he left on the machine were from 2 different area codes within the state). We'll see what if anything is done to protect her. :hi: : hug: :hug:
