Serious question: Does a certain diligent prosecutor know this already, or would this be an interesting little nugget that would require a further “interview” with the President. “Mr. President, exactly when did this “hitting the roof” incident occur? 2. This is a stunning report--thanks for posting.

Stunning, that is, had it occurred any earlier in history.
The very credentials, the qualifications that made each of these aggressively competitive partisans suitable for the positions they filled also doomed them, ultimately, to failure. It's my prediction that the wave of revulsion that is picking up mass will wash away most of the traces of this blot on the world.

Unfortunately, the really massive damage they have done will only lose its shabbiness and pain with the passage of time and the changing of generations.

They still treat the offices of government with disdain born of ignorance.

I think 'filling the ol' coffers' is all he's interested in. That and clearing brush.

Last paragraph of the WaPo's article on the Draper book:

He told Draper he could see himself shuttling between Dallas and Crawford. Noting that he ran into former president Bill Clinton at the United Nations last year, Bush added, "Six years from now, you're not going to see *me* hanging out in the lobby of the U.N."

'Course, they probably wouldn't let him in.
