Shocker! The corporate media repeats the Bush line without question again.
I know this is going to be a huge surprise to everyone, but it appears that the corporate media is simply repeating the official line of our military, which George Bush happens to be Commander in Chief of, without question.

It turns out that six nuclear warheads were recently flown across the US, and our military which is under the leadership of George Bush tells us it was all a big mistake. Ignore the fact that Bush has shown a willingness to to use nukes in the past, ignore the fact that they are currently pushing for a new war in Iran and want desperately to make it appear as if they have nuclear weapons so an attack can be justified, and ignore the fact that it was recently revealed that Cheney's top aid David Addington actually wished for a terrorist attack http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2007/09/04/addington/index.html?source=rss&aim=greenwald">saying "We're one bomb away from getting rid of that obnoxious FISA court," None of that is relevant, the Bush led military says it was just a mistake so it must be just a mistake. Move along nothing to see here, they will take better precautions in the future and we will have nothing to worry about right?

There is no way in hell they could have intentionally loaded those warheads on that plane, because our military which is led by that very trustworthy person George W. Bush says it was a mistake. And when an agency run by such an honest man makes a claim our corporate media is more than willing to repeat it. Just look at today's headlines:

Air Force official fired after 6 nukes fly over U.S. B-52 bomber, accidentally armed with warheads, went over several states

Air Force investigates mistaken transport of nuclear warheads

Nuclear Bombs Mistakenly Flown Over US: B-52 Bomber Mistakenly Loaded With Nuclear Weapons and Flown Over US; Commander Fired

Nuke-Armed B-52 Mistakenly Flown Over U.S.
Commander Fired After Bomber Armed With Six Nuclear Warheads Flew Over Several States

Fox News:

Air Force Mistakenly Flies 6 Nuclear Warheads Over U.S.

That is hard hitting investigative journalism for you folks, simply repeat the Bush line because we all know they are correct 100% of the time and if they say it was a mistake then dammit, it must be a mistake, nothing more.

And not only was it a mistake, it was a mistake made by one single solitary commander, and he was fired so we have nothing to worry about. He won't make the same mistake again. Now we have a new person who is solely responsible for the whereabouts of our nuclear weapons. Don't worry about the fact that according military a mistake a mere individual can result in the loss of six nuclear weapons, that is completely irrelevant and you should try not to think about it.

Just trust the Bush led military and the corporate run media that repeats their talking points and you can sleep well knowing that everything will be OK.

2. NO shit!
Just a mistake come on! I really find it kind of hard no believe that they didn't know that the warheads were not removed.
This is the Air Force you kind of think they would check for that. OMG I am still freaked over this. What would have happened if it would of crashed don't know much about nuclear weapons but I can't think it would have been good.

6. This media report should not surprise anyone.
When was the last time the media did any investigation about any data coming out of any level of the federal government under any administration?

7. They certainly didn't surprise...
But we need to point it out when they fail to do their job and simply take the people in power at their word.
