HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 2007--Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced today that net income for the second quarter of 2007 was $1.5 billion, or $1.62 per diluted share, which includes a net gain of $933 million from the separation of KBR, Inc. recorded in discontinued operations. This compares to net income of $591 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2006.
