Again...
"There was an error which occurred during a regularly scheduled transfer of weapons between two bases," Lt. Col. Ed Thomas said. "The weapons were safe and remained in Air Force control and custody at all times."

The "light" Bird Col. quoted here, is doing what is known in some circles as not being truthful.
What he meant to say was, we were ordered to load these weapons on to the aircraft, we did that. Someone talked. We believe some civilian way up the chain, is insane....

As in yesterday's thread, there was at least one person who worked on B-52's and myself. I believe that poster can attest to the fact that those assets, do not, I repeat do not, leave the alert pad on a B-52, taxi down the alert runway and "fly". Unless they are intended to be used. Not decommissioned. Not "fiddled" with. Not moved. Used.
I was involved in the movement, storage and protection of these assets. At no time would these assets be left anywhere, accidentally. We can dance around this by talking about disassembly, fatigued airman, or even the "regularly scheduled transfer of weapons". Could an entire ground crew, flight crew, security force, maintenance crew, on down to the chow hall staff be hand picked to do this? Sure, I suppose. But indeed, word would spread. Hand picked or not, this is bigger than you or I know. Thats why it leaked.

Again, if indeed those weapons really left the ground in that form, on a B-52, there is much more going on than we will read about in any media outlet. Big surprise there, I know.

3. That's OK. This Needs To Be Screamed Over And Over
You might want to change your subject line or at least capitalize what is there now.

This needs to be noticed.

I see a limited hangout to hide what was not meant to be made public:

These "assets" were being moved to Barksdale, staging point for ME actions

ON PURPOSE!

5. KR again. Rinse and repeat as far as I'm concerned. This is nuclear fucking war we're talking about
We are about to reprise our role as the only nation that has attacked another with nukes, and this time W is going to do it without even a declaration of war. Congress will be informed of the nuking when they see the mushroom clouds on CNN.

6. The procedures are chiseled in stone
Nobody fools around.

Nobody changes the way it's done.

It's done by the book.

every time.

Any deviation from set procedures initiates protocols.

No body wants to go through that.

Ever.

10. Yup
I was trying to say just that, bit more long winded on my part.
Some folks on other posts keep missing the point I guess.... there is no way this happens without orders.
If indeed said weapons arrived from somewhere else before the plane landed in Minot...and then those airman in Minot "forgot" to unload said weapons? Even bigger problem like Rick mentioned I believe...
Hard to get passed the whole alert bombers with those weapons on board don't fly unless they intend to use them problem.
Unless, everything has changed since SAC day's?
Or the B-52 was not really carrying the weapons as "advertised". I'm hoping for false advertising myself....

12. you, sir, are correct
my rightwing fundie boss said this morning, "when I was on an aircraft carrier, there was a checklist that had to be completed, with no, NO, exceptions. While I was completing the checklist I was surrounded by U.S. Marines with locked and loaded weapons. We used the wrong wire to (do something) with the air or ground burst trigger system. I ate more crow than I ever thought possible trying to explain what happened". That is a quote.

He said he was facing court martial for whatever he did, but they did not pursue that far.

13. NO exceptions is right
Like formercia said, there is no deviation from the "list" if you will. I can only speak from what SP's did on the job. Some really relished the idea of jacking crews or maintenance people up, for slight deviations from the list. We and everyone else involved were watching...

8. PRENTICE: Broken Arrow?
CHAIRMAN: That’s what we call it when we lose a nuclear weapon.
PRENTICE: Oh Jesus. I don’t know what’s scarier, losing a nuclear weapon, or that it happens so often there’s actually a term for it.

9. Anybody force the
Congressional Dems to get clued in yet? I know they love to plead the fifth by pretending to get all their info from the MSM and their implicit trust in WH press releases, and insider trust of such eminences as when Hillary Clinton trusted(Powell) in the lead up to an illegal war. Anyone "surprise" them with these analyses yet?

Iranians who have not been fried yet have the first cause to be "afraid". I don't want to even hear a hint of that emotion from our Dem leaders in DC. I also can see how Kerry would have been treated(by other Dem pols) had he been allowed to serve his presidency. Put off, stymied and told to keep his hands off business as usual.

Anyone care to e-mail our stunned and surprised Dems?
