After reading THE TURNER DIARIES, I've come up with what may be my most controversial idea ever

If you've never even heard of The Turner Diaries, I can't exactly recommend that you read this book, but those who do may gain a shocking and surprising insight into the mindset of the Racist Right - in fact, that's the only reason I read it. This book helped inspire the neo-Nazi terrorist cell known as The Order to rob armored cars at gunpoint in the mid-80s in order to fund racist organizations such as Aryan Nations and National Alliance; it also helped inspire Timothy McVeigh to blow up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, even providing very crude instructions on how to improvise a bomb using ammonium nitrate and disel fuel. This book also panders to the most ridiculous racial stereotypes imaginable, among them the idea that the omnipotent Jews who secretly control America are using blacks as muscle. Many of you may consider this book sickening, and there's plenty in the book to justify your revulsion.

I won't bore you or offend you with a plot synopsis, but here's an idea on how to take on the status of The Turner Diaries as the underground Bible of the Racist Right:

Turn it into a musical.

You read that right. Lampoon this racist work on stage by turning its anti-everyone-who-isn't-White-enough message on its head. In other words, turn it into a real-life Springtime for Hitler, right down to someone along the lines of "LSD" playing the part of protagonist Earl Turner.

We could even transform existing songs into the soundtrack for the musical. World Up My Ass by Circle Jerks could be transformed into Rod Up My Ass for the unthinkable but somehow cartoonish torture scene where Earl Turner is brutally interrogated. The version of Edelweiss from The Sound of Music could be transformed into a tongue-firmly-in-cheek sendoff for California's Jewish population as they are ushered at gunpoint towards their fate. And, by using a plot device that the original author included only in passing, the musical could end with a number called Dance of the Chinese Mutants in which the neo-Nazi would-be masters of the world's destiny are forced to concede a real threat from an entire people whom they have tried in vain to sicken, poison, and irradiate out of existence by "sterilizing" the Far East. In other words - to turn The Turner Diaries completely on its head - the musical version would conclude with the White global dictator of the future being menaced by non-White people who simply cannot be killed.

This may be completely out of left field, and probably terribly inappropriate, but I'm just trying to find new ways to make our enemies look even more ridiculous. No actual racist or anti-Semitic sentiments should be inferred from anything in this post.

The author of The Turner Diaries, William Pierce (writing as Andrew Macdonald), died earlier this year, so I'm not sure who currently owns the rights to that book.

If Pierce's successors were to be sued for a civil rights violation by the Southern Poverty Law Center, I think it would be hilarious if they were to demand the rights to TTD as compensation.
