Dennis in Syria

Please watch this video:

This is a video of Dennis Kucinich being interviewed on Syrian TV. This is a point of view that cannot be seen on American TV.

5. I know I will get blasted for this, but
Why does he meet with Syria's Assad and then the same day say he will not meet the soldiers in Iraq?

"I feel the United States is engaging in an illegal occupation ... I don't want to bless that occupation with my presence," Kucinich said in Lebanon, according to the Associated Press. "I will not do it."

8. Good for him.
He is a man of principle (a quite unique concept for a presidential candidate).

Visiting the troops is an affirmation of their presence there. What's he supposed to say? "I'm proud of you."? "You're doing a hell of a job."? "America loves you."?

Or should he say: "Hey guys, I'm sorry. This wasn't my idea. And the worst part is that I'm your only hope to get you out of here and have you seen the polls lately?"

So maybe he will get blasted (not you) for his words, but I certainly hope that some people will understand that here is a man who is not in the business of selling bullshit to the American people OR the men and women in the Service.

13. That would be great to hear...
but I doubt it would be welcomed (or permitted) by the brass. what he did in Syria was way more productive.

7. Well, being interviewed in a tent by a burka wearing, illiterate, fanatic muslima doesn't help...
...the image that Americans have about the Middle East either, does it?

On a more serious note, anyone who does not understand that Syria and Iran are required players to fix the Iraq situation is an idiot.

As usual, Kooch is RIGHT. Bravo!
