Dems need to begin talking about UN troops
rebuilding our alliances w/ NATO (yes they have been damaged) and making the Iraq solution one that involves all of our Allies.

Its not only the sensible way to end this fiasco, it forces the Bush administration to defend the practice of forcing US taxpayers to cover the entire cost of this war.

Endless war in the ME is fiscally unsustainable. Its going to destroy our economic future.

2. Agree, other ME countries have a vested interest
in keeping peace in their region.

Why won't Dems in Congress frame the issue in terms UN support?

3. Like the UN wants to send troops to Iraq
They opened a mission there right after the invasion and closed down when a truck bomb killed their mission head.

It would be great if the UN or NATO would go in there, but why would they?

Any European government which would send its troops into Iraq would fall within weeks.

As far as the Muslim governments sending troops, that will happen after the US leaves. The Saudis and Syrians will go in to support the Sunnis and the Iranians will go in to support the Shi-ites. The Turks will go in to crush the Kurds.
