What are (at this time) your three most important subjects for the election?
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 12:22 PM by spindoctor
Sunday afternoon, electronic stores and tearoom senators have blown over, let's take inventory of what is keeping us up at night these days. I for one am curious to see what the issues are that DU cares about.

Please list your THREE most important issues in random order in the subject of your reply. Feel free to add additional comments in the message body but keep the subject clean. This will make it easier to keep the tally.

It will not be held against you if you decide to change your mind down the road, so no need to hold back.

I do not care about the war, the war will end when Bush is gone. I care about the return of the rule of law, of the Constitution. This is the most important and lasting thing, all others are current events.

21. The War Against Iraq Will Not End As Long As George Bush Is In Office
If you want the war to end you have to get him out of office. You can wait a year and a half for him to go and the war begin to wind down or you can try to have him removed at once, and thus the war ended, now. It is your choice.

IMPEACH!

28. I got more than three
No more health insurance,no more liability insurance,if you want to be covered you insure your own vehicle,if the other person wants to be covered they will need to buy thier own.If you cause an accident while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding, tailgating, etc.mandatory jail time at hard labor doing the jobs other americans won`t do.Just think how much less money people would need although it would hurt the rich, but I just can`t see why they need to be taken care of the way they are.Stop this war and make it illeagle to attack anyone that has not attacked us first.Doing what idiot chimpy did is like a cop writting a speeding ticket to a driver because he thinks the driver will be speeding a mile down the road.Tax the oil companies and spend the money on bio-fuels get more diesels on the road.Put all females on birth control at the age of 12 and keep them on it untill they are old enough mentaly and financially stable enough to raise a child. That should end the abortion issue.Tax any church that makes more than 10,000.00 a year proffit. That is the way I feel so flame on I think the way I want to not the way other people say I should!

36. There's only one issue
Globalization, corporate/fascism/plundering/political/profiteering....

Call it what you will. All the other issues stem from that.

And the American people know it.

Edwards calls it "The Two Americas."

Byron Dorgan writes books about it.

Kucinich covers it.

That is what this coming election is ALL about.

And the millions of youth non-voters will not vote for a corporate candidate.

And the Democrats need them.

48. Constitutional Rights - Iraq - Health care
Ok if I have to list three did in the subject line but truthfully these four are almost of equal importance to me.

Restore Constitutional Rights - get rid of Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act and restore/strengthen FISA

Out of Iraq and no bombing or invading Iran

Universal single payer not for profit health care

Renegotiate trade treaties - bring OUR JOBS HOME
