Joe Biden Makes Sense
He's not my first choice for president but he comes off as a sober and reasoned man...I wouldn't mind seeng him as Secretary Of State when the Democrats recapture the White House...

3. Well
He's running against a "rock star" Obama, and the wife of a popular Democratic president, Hillary Clinton, and the vice presidential nominee from the previous election...

Plus, sometimes his "outspokenness" leads him to say silly things...

14. I think the "silly things" show he's one of the FEW unscripted
candidates! I really like Joe, and I think, of all the candidates on both sides, he would make the best leader! He may only serve one term because I believe he would do things he believes would be best for the Country v/s what's the most popular in the nedia and the polls, but isn't that what this
Country needs now?

4. Yes, I don't think he'd do something rashly or without consulting anyone. He's won points with me.
Big time.

8. I Never Predicted A Kerry Landslide...
If the election was held tomorrow I think most of our Democratic candidates can beat the GOPU candidates...

Of course that can change but I think most folks would say the Dems go into the 08 election as prohibitive favorites...

6. I'm watching the testamony of Petraeus this morning
and Biden just delivered an impressive opening statement. I could easily see him in the WH -- he seems to inspire trust.

7. I met him in Orlando about a month ago.
He came over, shook my hand, and said, "Hey, it's great to see you again. How've you been"?

The first thing I could think of was, "You've never laid eyes on me before, in your life". He did the same thing to my buddy a few minutes later.

9. That's Just Being Corny...
I can think of worse character flaws...

I'm a big Ted Kennedy fan but I remember during his 80 presidential election primary campaign his advance men would tell him who he was meeting so he could address them by name and schmooze them...

10. Biden does make sense.
I'd no problems with him in our next administration, no matter what capacity.

David Petraeus can't breeze past this Biden-led, Democratic-laden SFRC.

This is for real.

11. HIs opening statement was very good and very pragmatic
These Generals are COMPLETELY missing the point - but did we expect anything less?

15. yes for Biden
Edited on Tue Sep-11-07 09:52 AM by roesch
I watched him on C-Span last night speaking in a dinner full of Iowa folks and realized that here we have experience-- a solid record that we can look at, a candidate that has thought out a reasonable solution for Iraq, and someone with courage to speak out. Further he seem to make real contact with the folks in that diner listening to their concerns, taking phone numbers and promising to get in touch with them. Of course I realize that voters usually turn their backs on intellect and solid achievements for the glitz of media leaders, but maybe this time....
