Why would the anti-war protesters protest the Democrats?
After all, the Democrats are the good guys. They should be protesting those fucking Republicans.

But I disagree.
WE are the ones that elect those Democrats. WE are their base. WE are the constituents that gave them their jobs.
THEY should listen to US. They should listen to those that voted for peace and to an end of the war. If they don't, it is up to US to remind them of their obligation.
After all, how many voted for Republicans thinking THEY would end the war???
Oh wait...there were no NEW Republicans voted in last election cycle.
That wasn't an accident was it?

3. It's up to the Democratic Party to be anti-war and support the anti-war movement ....
NOT the other way around --

The anti-war movement has to be independent --

4. Good point but...
I understand the OP's frustration. He is not alone. Every blog I visit is enraged over the stroke-job the anti-war voter received up to election 2006. Especially this week. Normally level headed bloggers are going ballistic.

Everyone is ailing from anal soreness.

We were had.

It feels like 04.

7. We have severe limitations on third parties; limitations which are limiting us all --
Ralph Nader may or may not run -- though the Greens are saying they would welcome him again.
It takes a huge amount of work to establish a third party here --
mainly BLOCKED by both Dems and Repuugs -- they don't want competition.

8. Yes, but the Dems ought to remember what happened
last time a large number of lefties were disgruntled. No reason to think it can't happen again.
