Moderate Repubs Who Oppose Bush & His Policies --It is Time To Step Forward To The Microphone....
It certainly appears that the Leadership of the Republican Party is in turmoil.

At the moment they are 'playing both ends against the middle' to preserve the status quo regarding the power they hold today --but that cannot last now that the public has become engaged and informed.

Failing to oppose the disasterous policies of the Bush Administration as the 2008 Election Primaries draw nigh places Republican seats up for reelection in extreme jeopardy. Joining the Democrats in opposing Bush's policies means admitting that they were wrong not to speak out earlier and is proof that they made mistakes. Quite a dilemma!

If Republicans hope to have any voice in a Democratic majority controlled House and Senate, and influence in regard to a Democratic White House, they need to step up to the microphone TODAY and come clean with the American people about the wrongdoing that has occurred during the tenure of this Administration and make it clear they will not support the continuation of wrongdoing from here on out.

It is not enough to make 'off the record anonymous statements' opposing Bush and his policies. Also, it is not enough to make public comments opposing Bush policies and then voting lockstep in favor with White House policies.

It is time.... for Republicans to 'fish or cut bait' TODAY. Democratic leaders need to draw a line in the sand, tell them today is the day, .... we will not forget.

Either step up and do the right thing TODAY, OR the American public will make them stand down when they come up for reelection.

4. It certainly is about Democrats using their power to put pressure on Repubs TODAY....
IF Democrats were not afraid of offending the public by using 'clear unequivocal demands' in dealing with Repub members of Congress, you would see Repubs 'peeling away' from supporting this Administration.

What Dems fail to understand is that the public 'gets it', and they sent the message in the 2006 elections for Dems to use their power to end this war in Iraq and bring the troops home.
