Dedicated to Iraq War supporters everywhere (with apologies to Jonny Lang)
This song just came up on my iTunes so I thought I'd tweak it a bit in light of IraqMe Dave Petraeus' performance the other day and the upcoming lies from the Frat Boy today.

"Lie to Me"

Lie to me and tell me everything is all right
Lie to me and tell me that we’ll come home tonight
Tell me that soon we'll leave,
and I’ll just try to make believe
that everything you tell me is true

Lie to me, go ahead and lie to me

Lie to me, it doesn’t matter anymore
It could never be what it was before
If I can’t believe in you
leave me with somethin’ I can hold onto,
for just a little while won’t you let me be

Anyone can see
that you love war more than me
But right now, baby, let me pretend
that this war soon will end

Lie to me, go ahead and lie to me

1. One of my favorite artists
You did a wonderful job tweaking it and I don't think he would mind a bit.
I wish there were more artists composing anti-war songs.

3. I think about it everytime
I hear a certain Jackson Browne, or Cat Stevens tune.
I no sooner replied to you and read Springsteen has a new one out.
