What Slogan Will We Hear Tonight?
September 13th, 2007

The House Democratic Caucus Communications Office released the following chart this afternoon in anticipation of the President’s address to the nation to outline his so-called new plan for Iraq:

The President’s previous addresses to the nation regarding Iraq have been filled with slogans and rosy predictions that failed to come true. We don’t know what slogan we will hear this evening, but a review of slogans past is included below.

3. The phrase "General Petraeus' advice".
Edited on Thu Sep-13-07 04:14 PM by Marr
As in, "I will act on General's Petraeus' advice...". He's going to say that *alot*, in an attempt to push the idea that remaining in Iraq is what the military wants, and anyone saying otherwise is just undermining the military-- not Bush's foreign policy-- the military.
