Hurricane and disaster relief
I know we are all inundated with appeals for money, but I thought I'd add to the list anyway. For those who can spare a few dollars, these groups could really use your spare change.

I can't vouch for all these groups and I'm sure I've missed some good organizations as well, but I can say that a few of them are back in SE Texas providing help after another hurricane attack. Dean and Felix were much worse, and a great deal of their efforts are also aimed at helping the people of Mexico and Latin America recover from those storms.

Oh and, it's probably smart to gas up your vehicles if you haven't already. Rumors are already flying about higher prices since Total and Valero were apparently offline for several hours this morning. Though I haven't actually seen higher prices locally yet, I still thought I would pass on the advice I've received just in case. :)
