28. Might Be????
I know lots of DU'ers personally. The sample is large enough to suggest that it's nearly statistically impossible for that assessment to be correct.

Almost none of the DU'ers are know are 65+, and i don't think ANY are empty nesters. Most i know have kids in grade school or high school!

There ain't no "might be" about it. The methodology is useless.

Apparently I'm a 30-year old Congolese woman with a degree in tropical medicine, an out-of-wedlock son and an abiding fondness for tater-tot casseroles.

And all this time I thought I was a pasty, peevish white male Floridian. Who knew?

edited to specify "male", which I thought I was.

All these years I've THOUGHT I was married to a 25-34 year old male Cauc with a 100K+ income who was committed to the grassroots effort to elect Ron Paul.

I feel so betrayed - I think I'll just fling myself onto a burning pyre of Vanity Fair magazines.

I would guess that a shit-eating dog would be cheaper to keep, but I need the cat to provide the shit.

This strikes me as the same relationship between the GOP and the Democratic Party.

57. The Two Are Completely Different
Quantcast does not ask Internet users to fill out a survey.

http://www.micropersuasion.com/2006/12/quantcast_adds_.html

Quantcast continues to get better and better. They are really going to give Alexa a run for their money. The methodology is stronger on Quantcast because they qualify publishers and they don't just rely on a silly toolbar. They work with advertisers, publishers, ISPs and advertising networks to get hard data on millions of Web sites.

The gang at Quantcast has added added a bunch of new goodies, including comparative charting, traffic trends and siteographics that tell you what similar sites people in their panel are visiting. I bet they're not only going to give Alexa trouble, but I also think that folks like Nielsen and comScore should be nervous. This is powerful stuff and I find I am tapping into their site almost on a daily basis.

playfulness in the Lounge for his over the top religious program.

Audience Keywords
The audience keywords list shows keywords a site's audience tends to type in. These are often but not always the keywords that brought people to the site. The frequency represents how much more often members of this audience use those keywords compared to an average internet user.

Edited on Fri Sep-14-07 11:34 AM by Buzz Clik
I do believe he did, and I certainly filled it out.

It's not hard to believe the results -- it's skewed to a tad older than internet average, a tad more affluent (though the distribution is bimodal), we tend to be really white, and either no college or graduate school.

One would think that any political website would look similar. But feeding Freerepublic.com into the engine gives really loopy results: a huge population of minorities with relatively low median income and African-American as the predominant ethnicity. Oh -- and they like to read Vanity Fair and New Yorker magazine. uh huh.
