My opinion: pull out all punches to this administration,...de-funding, impeachment, hearings, legis
,...de-funding, impeachment, hearings, legislation,...any and every means and activities available to destabilize this cabal's power.

I base my opinion on two basic notions:
(1) If ever there was a time to destabilize, it is now because these people are willing to take far more risks than before; and, more importantly,
(2) MOST of the initial "players" are out and, I am absolutely certain, setting the stage to KEEP POWER IN 2008.

If nothing else comes from all destabilization activities, they will distract these amoral assholes from keeping power no matter how much they scream and cry and whine. Besides, the LAST THING THEY EXPECT is a full-fledged assault and confrontation. To the contrary, they are confident in their ability to perpetually manipulate everyone else's moral character and integrity because THEY DO NOT HAVE/HOLD EITHER.

Just my opinion.

One more thing on that,...

The attack on these monsters should take place immediately. Immediately.

1. Right, if we took them to the wire (Democratic Leaders find their spine) it would be political
suicide NOT to continue to fund the troops (they have the reserves) as they are *all* redeployed to the periphery. We need to extract our troops from out of the middle of this ongoing "bloody civil war."

2. Too many dirty politicians, wont happen. Just my opinion though.
I don't think anyone wants that can of worms opened. Maybe Kucinich, he seems pretty straightforward?

7. What the world gets and what this cabal, a confessed empire, 'creates' as history,...
,...is quite distinct, I do believe.

Just because Americans are fed and consume a bunch of bullshit doesn't mean the rest of the world is willing to swallow.

You sparked a memory I have,...of a (,...don't know what to call him,...), let's say "member of the neocon cult" who basically stated that, we are an empire now and we CREATE alternative realities while historians are running around trying to figure out what the hell happened.

For better or worse, their are times when using every personal resource, every ammunition available to overcome an intolerable situation is not just the right thing to do,...it is necessary and will alter the course no matter what the immediate outcome.

We have to get off the IMMEDIATE OUTCOME obsession and become a part of a bigger picture, a more visionary future.

5. We individuals know what needs to be done but we don't have the
position and power. We have no leadership in the Democrats to stop Bush and his criminals. If we had strong leaders they would have stood up to him since he was appointed. Instead we have leaders who keep too cozy with him and refuse to do anything that might shake him up.

Would you smile with Bush?

and the longer the Dem Leadership waits for accountability the harder its going to be to get any. If they don't impeach at least Cheney this country may NEVER recover from the damage they have done.

8. Committing to a prolonged conflict with no plan for the dangerous aftermath... that sounds familiar
Edited on Fri Sep-14-07 05:43 PM by jpgray
Sorry, but why does everyone think attacking on all fronts and ignoring the risks is a good idea? I know nobody thinks it worked well in our recent foreign policy.

9. You are comparing taking this administration down with "shock-n-awe" bombing and,...
,...total destruction of ALL GOVERNMENT in Iraq?

Good grief.

Perspective would be good. Pretending to 'talk' about risks while comparing two completely different "assaults" is just,...

,...well, hey,...you added your opinion.

Why don't you proffer the risk assessment you speak of and we can go from there.

I'm listening.

10. It's the same myopic thinking--attack attack attack and who cares what's there when the smoke clears
I care. If the GOP returns to power due to boneheaded and toothless political attacks which do nothing but stroke a few egos, I don't think I'd call that a victory. You would?
