We're Screwn Now...Keyes Is Running Again...
http://atrios.blogspot.com/2007_09_09_archive.html#7490427138063534345

On Friday, Sept. 14, Alan Keyes filed a Statement of Candidacy...with the Federal Election Commission--thus officially announcing as a Republican candidate for President of the United States.

Oh Please, don't tease me this way! Imagine debates with Big Al and Ron Paul. Of course Keyes is sure to say he's the only "true" conservative running...and sure will appeal to those southern white males. Maybe Al is using this as a launchpad for another talk show or running for Senate in South Dakota or Maine  Welcome back, Big Al...we could use the comic relief.

3. I actually watched the 'pub debates just to hear what that clown would say next.
Quite the comic.

9. A brilliant choice ...
... but I understand that when approached with the idea, she still had her fingers in her ears and never heard the proposal over her own screeching.

10. An 8th Day Wonder On The 10th Day
I'm sure he must have had tdo be restrained when watching those debates...especially when the evolution question was asked or about using nukes. Even more curious would be those who called him up and said "c'mon Al, one more time, please"...

I think we need to set up an ActBlue page for him...keep him in the race for as long as possible for all the comic relief he'll provide for us in the remaining debates.

That said, I've long predicted a third party challenge to come from the right...maybe two. My initial bets were on Gingrich, but I could see Ron Paul running back to his "Libertarian" or the "Reform" Party and now maybe Keyes forming yet another rear-guard. The natives remain restless.

:hi:

14. The Gingrich camp
is confident Newt will be asked to take the VP position if one candidate is nominated. This has been enough to keep him from tossing his hat in the ring. He knows that the OVP is a seat of power.

13. I can't wait until he starts yammering
about the usual repub "family values" speech; we can then ask him about his treatment of his own daughter and why, if he was so keen on those "family values", he would kick his OWN DAUGHTER out of the house knowing she had nowhere to go just because she was gay!!!! Fucking ignorant hypocritical jackass.

15. I'd rather vote for Maya Keyes ... even if she is only 22.
