As a human I want to kick Bill Maher in his stupid ass..,
Edited on Sat Sep-15-07 03:33 PM by Archae
As me why...

On edit:

Ok, he is very much anti-vaccination, and says vaccinations have never stopped epidemics.

Hey Bill! Does polio and smallpox ring a bell? :grr:

2. Bill Maher hasn't got much credibility beyond advocating for
animal rights and pot legalization. Anything other than that he's talking out of his ass.

3. Maher was all about "fixing" Iraq after we broke it.
Edited on Sat Sep-15-07 04:20 PM by The_Casual_Observer
No matter that the fix was destined to be an endless war of destruction. He is sort of a stand=up comedian that has been given a role way beyond his ability.

7. Ever wonder why Larry King has him on like he's a spokesperson for the Dems or something
Bill Maher doesn't speak for me and he goes on all these talk shows like he's an authority on foreign policy :wtf:

He's a turncoat - he will turn on the Dems again just like he did in 2000 - mark my words

4. I don't agree with him 100%. Not every vaccine needs to be...
mandated. Everyone should get at least a tetnus vaccine, unless you are going to have serious a side reaction of course.

5. How is Maher an authority on any of this?
He's a comedian, an entertainer, a talking head. He doesn't know anything about public policy, government or foreign policy.

Why would anyone consider Maher an expert on any political topic?

10. Yet, he's given free rein to spread hateful memes.
"wadda country", as a much better comedian used to say...

9. He's a fricking comedian
Whether you find him funny or not is personal taste but saying dumb stuff is kinda his stock in trade.

11. Bill Maher says exactly what he thinks,
regardless of how it comes across.

There are some of his opinions I agree with-
and some that I don't.

I'm with you on vaccinations.
My generation saw the end of polio thanks
to vaccinations.
