We just can't keep waiting for democrats
to tell the truth to this nation (apparently they never will). I just can't freakin take this anymore. Sorry for the rant, but I can't escape it anywhere. I would like to go to a football game and not be reminded of this orgy of death and the loss of this nation's soul but I can't even do that. Sorry, I'm out.

7. I'm back, couldn't sleep (live on the East Coast).

I am going to (vote for Dennis). The whole reason I get like this is I can't escape this nightmare, even to go to a football game. Tonight, they were honoring our service people (which I don't have any problem with being as my father was, but it seems they do it 2 or 3 times a season) but that's not what got to me. In the fourth quarter, they started playing Lee Greenwood's Proud to be An American and something inside me just snapped. I got up and went out to the concourse and smoked a cigarette. The game was at NC State (since I didn't mention it).

2. Sure we can. We've been waiting for so many years. I can
wait a bit longer. But I'm ALL EARS and am waiting to hear what changes they 'might' advocate.

3. You can wait. Our soldiers and the Iraqi civilians can't.
Perhaps it's time to rebuild the Party from the ground up. Kick ALL the deadwood out.

4. If I don't wait, what's going to happen?
Trust me, I'm as discouraged as you, but I have to have hope. And do you know how long I've been saying that? I've been calling myself an optimist; maybe you're the realist.

5. I'm not a realist- I'm a flat-out cynic.
I've seen things I'd never have given credence to ten years ago, and it's about as far from real as is possible. It's a bloody NIGHTMARE, and I can't wake up from it.

6. Maybe in my real life I am, too, because of my
smart mouth at times. I do try not to be a bummer, so I'm living in fantasyland, soon to be dreamland, as Mr. Sandman's calling me. I won't be dreaming about anything negative either.

Chin up? :pals:

8. I hate getting zapped by reality.
You're right. There is an orgy of death and destruction ongoing, and this country has been ravaged from the inside out. That's true. That's where we are.

And we can't wait for anybody. Not for public leaders, not for party platforms, not for anyone or anything, I think. The world can't wait.

As someone I admired very much as a child used to say, "IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!"

:)
