YIKES! How WASTED Did * Sound This Morning???

OK that audio of him announcing the new AG nom, he sounded like he was channeling the old Foster Brooks routines from the 70's. Surely he wasn't drinking at 9:00 a.m.!! He must be on some heavy duty meds or something, seriously....he's been pretty slurry for a the last couple of years but that sounded flat out BOMBED!

1. It really doesn't matter if he was drinking or is on meds.

If he's incapacitated in some way, either self-inflicted or not, he should be REMOVED from office.

That was the message I got, loud and clear. He is deeply resentful that his special l'il buddy AG Gonzales was essentially forced out, and the whole staging makes this apparent: he stands there along with the nominee, does not even manage to muster any warmth for the man, and acts aloof and unenthused.

Of course there's the slurring and hissing, but that's just par for the course as far as I'm concerned. I think what was going on there is Bush doesn't like having his hand forced. And that, of course, is why he also threw in the zinger about who is *really* going to be the Acting AG -- because Congress is trying to force his hand to turn over papers, so he's going to stick it to them by having another rabid neocon loyalist as Acting AG to try and keep the pressure on.

Please, Congress, don't go for it. Stick to your guns. Refuse to even start considering this Mukasey (sp?) guy until you get what you have asked for. Please!!! Don't let this evil little bastard win yet again, just because he has the stomach to play hardball and you don't.
