I'm not saying we should totally stoop to their level. We don't have to become them to beat them.

But a few people, stooping to their level, at the right time in the right place, that I'd like to see more of.

The difference is, they LIE.

We should be just as nasty-- OR NASTIER-- but tell the TRUTH.

that is something that they understand. Using reason just confuses them.

The bully thinks that only he's allowed to throw punches. I say you know something's working when everyone on their side makes a point to complain about it and demand an apology.

I noted your post and it can't be underscored ENOUGH. It CAN'T BE UNDERSCORED ENOUGH. The ONLY meaningful and impactful way to deal with these bullying monsters when they hit us is to HIT THEM BACK AND HIT THEM BACK HARD. Julie, you said it! It's ABSOLUTELY all they know. It's the only way to get through to them. HIT THEM BACK. AND HIT THEM BACK HARD. We CANNOT leave whatever it is they say or do unresponded to. We CANNOT let them get the last word - which is the last thing you hear and thus the most recent thing to stay in your brain = the best remembered, the one that's gonna stick.

ALWAYS respond. ALWAYS have a comeback. Make sure it's a good one - lethally good. Dish it back out to them, with a cherry on top. Whatever they say or do, it CANNOT be allowed to stand, unchallenged. EVER. It's quite apparent that MoveOn.org hit a nerve. A particularly delicate one, at that.
