4. I have to learn more about the various proposals.
but I'll only support a plan that let's me keep my current doctors. I don't want anyone telling me that I can't go to the doctors I like, trust and know my history. That is why my husband and I made the choice to pay more for our insurance. IMO that should not be held over people's heads - you should be able to go to the doctor(s) of your choosing - who you think can help you the most or whose specialized services you need. Thankfully, we are in a position to be able to afford it for now, but that margin of comfort is dwindling as costs raise. I hope someone comes up with an answer soon.

5. In a Medicare for all system, where do you think your doctors would go?
If the entire country was in such a system, the doctors would be here, too. Unless they left the country, I don't know why they wouldn't be available.

10. As long as it would work that way, instead of the "haves" getting
the cream of the crop docs and the rest getting stuck with less than your average doc.

My friend is moving to Canada. It's been in the works a *LONG* time, but they settle on their house in early October, so now it really is official. They are currently in NJ. Her hubby (self employed consultant) is paying over $1500/mo for a family of 4 for healthcare. He just did all the paperwork to join the national healthcare system in Canada, and even the bridge insurance, while they're waiting for the nat'l healthcare to kick in, is only going to cost them $800 for 3 months for a family of 4. They ARE getting a supplemental policy because she said that there are some things that the nat'l insurance doesn't pick up, but she didn't go into detail about what those things would be. She was so worried that they wouldn't let them go since she is only 1 yr away from being diagnosed with breast cancer.

13. I don't have any trouble with the rich monopolizing top doctors.
I'm that much of a capitalist. As long as we guarantee good basic care to all, sure, let the Rockefellers have their specialists on retainer.

19. Some of it is Kucinich's fault...
...for not having been born telegenic, not having the requisite plastic surgery, and being shorter than most other candidates. If he looked like Kerry or Gore, he might already be president.

3. First Kucinich, second Obama...
...absolute last to any candidate whose plan imposes new unfunded or underfunded "mandates" on average Americans. (Yes, that means you, Hillary. And your little Edwards, too!)

7. I prefer Kucinich's plan, but listening to dumfucks Rick and Bubba on the radio, it will fail.
Because all they can say is it's socialized medicine. They even call Hillary's plan socialized medicine, even though it's little more than a mandatory health insurance law. It's people like them that will make even Hillary's plan die in the Senate.

12. I don't know. Definitely NOT Hillary Clinton's.
Mandatory insurance for everyone? Fuck That!
The idea of mandatory health insurance is punitive. If you want to drive, you get insurance. Fine, but, not everyone drives! You don't drive, you don't pay insurance. That's reasonable.
Everyone does happen to live, however. What's going to happen when people get arrested for not having health insurance?

17. People are voting for Hillarys plan?
I don't believe her plan was for universal health care.
Her plan still keeps insurance companies at the top,
and people at the bottom.

so sad.
