The Kerry/taser story sheds a light
on a problem that hasn't gone away yet and that is: election theft.
Most everyone knows that Kerry really did win. The aftermath of the conceding day, blah, blah, blah, we can argue forever, but I see no real safeguards in place for the next "election of a lifetime"!!!
Just because Rove was removed from the WH doesn't mean he won't be tinkering with computers and "the math" in Nov. 08!! With the rethugs popularity, it will be hard to get away with it, but they will still try, and once again, we'll be robbed!!! I'm not trying to be negative, but with all the "my candidate is better than your candidate" saber rattling going on around here, it all still boils down to who is behind "the math" curtain on Election Day!

1. That (who is behind the math), as well as who is behind the "media"
The media plays such a huge role in all of this it's hard to ignore.

The 2004 election (as well as the one in 2000), showed very clearly that the media is complicit in convincing the public that these elections are legitimate.

4. Thanks to the "asshat who begged to be tasered" - the stolen election is
mentioned once again. "(Un)fortunately he's not here to swear me in as president" kerry joked as the kid was being abused by the police. A very symbolic moment.

5. Student also asked about impeachment
another controversial topic. Like Congressional Dems, its time some folks quit complaining, stop worrying about what their neighbors might think, and show some courage in asking hard questions.

Its one thing to sit on a forum and complain about stolen elections, criminal presidencies and spying on Americans. Its quite another to condemn others who have the guts to get up and speak out to the public about it.

Criminal presidents are wrong

Illegal wars are wrong

Destroying the Constitution is wrong

Stealing elections is wrong

Beating up on people who innocently and harmlessly protest Bush's policies is wrong

Misogyny, sexism, homophobia and other forms of degrading and debasing fellow human beings is wrong

Get the fuck over it. If you disagree with any of the above, you should seriously ask yourself why you're here.

Frankly some of the naysayers and others who try to justify their prejudices on this forum are making me ill.

9. 'If you are concerned about Iran - why not Impeach'
This question needs to be answered!

They say they are too busy to Impeach Bush? What are they doing that is more important?

Bush needs to be stopped! He needs to be made too busy to attack Iran.

6. Sadly, the media is all over the story, but

it's about free speech (which this had absolutely nothing to do with), not election fraud. Damn I wish that kid had asked the question without the hysterics.

7. One shouldn't be emotional about voting rights being abused, impeachment

or war - or people will cheer as police drags you down and tasers you...Yup. "Hysteria"9or what used to be known as passion) is punishable by torture and acclaimed by many in this country.

8. No passionate is still passionate and
hysterical is still hysterical. Your choosing to conflate them doesn't change that.
