Listening to Medea Benjamin on Randi Rhodes
Her description of H. Clintons 'goon' at her rallies. I won't vote for another authoritarian.

1. Arrested for reading the Constitution
Should we wake up our fellow citizens yet or let them continue in their peaceful slumber?

Oh wait! There's more OJ news....

2. From my post in another thread on this subject:
Medea Benjamin's greatest aspiration in life is to become Ralph Nader.

You know she's not a Democrat, right? And that she and her group deliberately seek out and attack Democrats, including anti-war Democrats, as opposed to targeting Republicans where their actions might be useful? The Republicans couldn't ask for better friends in terms of trying to push responsibility for the war onto the Dems.

I'm not wild about Hillary at the moment, but Medea Benjamin and Code Pink are far from an example of harmless protest.

3. terribly sorry, but Medea Benjamin can...
kiss my ass with her talk of "goons." I have little doubt that the goon squad is worth a lot of PR hours to get the weekly publicity quota.

Benjamin and Code Pink are yet another group without any workable agenda of their own-- simply attack whatever establishment exists. Never work within that establishment to promote some change, but attack it and try to tear it down. Without much thought as to what replaces it, of course. Should by some strange quirk of fate Benjamin becomes an actual power in government, could there be any gurantee she won't be just as authoritarian?

Yeah, we do need people like that to keep the rest of us honest, but we have to remember not to take them too seriously.

4. Hillary is a stinking fascist!
Benjamin reports, you decide. You're attacking the messenger because she speaks the truth. Clinton isn't a Democrat either.

5. Welcome to DU.
I think. Medea Benjamin's extreme antipathy toward Clinton, and past comments, make it prudent to take these accusations with a grain of salt- or two. As for speaking "the truth", you have zero evidence of that, just as Ihave no evidence that she's lying. And much as I dislike Hillary's brand of politics, she is a democrat. It's childish statements like that, that will dent your cred.
