Wow, I can't believe how GOOD this new Laura Ingraham book "Power To The People" is...

...for me to POOP on!

From the Inside Flap
If you're like most Americans, you've had enough. You're fed up with sell-out politicians who won't defend our borders; a Hollywood that peddles profanity, pornography, and Al Gore and Rosie O'Donnell as "entertainment"; schools that teach our kids more about condoms than about the Constitution; and snooty judges who think it's their job to legislate for us. But there's a way to stop the madness and return power to the people - where it belongs. Laura Ingraham, the most-listened-to woman in political talk radio, shows us how to take back what is ours. In POWER TO THE PEOPLE she provides a riotous, take-no-prisoners journey through our besieged culture and gives us a battle plan to re-make it anew, the way the Founders intended - strong, patriotic, pro-family, and unapologetically God-fearing. Part exposé, part practical manifesto, and wholly entertaining, POWER TO THE PEOPLE is written in the style of Laura's fast-paced, no excuses, action-oriented radio show, weaving in personal tales of her own struggle to right the culture and the politics of our country: including how she derailed the appointment of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, mounted a grassroots campaign against corporate America's sponsorship of one of pop music's biggest and most profane rap stars, and torpedoed the amnesty bill that would have granted instant legal status to millions of illegal aliens. And for the first time, Laura also reveals how she found her faith during a moment of deep loss, along with poignant details of her year long battle with breast cancer. Over the years Laura has jousted with everyone from Michael Moore to Bill Maher to the Dixie Chicks. She once worked in-side the "dinosaur" media (CBS News and MSNBC) and knows the deceptive techniques practiced by those who "report" the news. In POWER TO THE PEOPLE, she holds back nothing, and takes the fight beyond Right versus Left to show you how to reclaim the culture and win. If you're tired of bewailing America's course, if you want to know what you can do to protect your family and restore our country, POWER TO THE PEOPLE is the book for you.

4. Just another "blonde" trying to profit
from the nutwhack niche which is somehow able to overrepresent itself on MSM, which is so vulnerable to pleasant looking women spewing garbage.

Yes, I know she had breast cancer -- but somehow that experience did not educate her on the "real" priorities of the less endowed and less fortunate masses in America.

8. You're right...
...really wonderful people get cancer. Really horrible people get cancer. A whole lot of people in between get cancer. What's that make them? People with cancer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Some people change, some people don't. I see Laura Ingraham as a woman who had some chemo sessions and returned to what she was doing before she got sick. Sad, but I see no evidence to the contrary.

6. I suspect another bulk buy
Drudge is crowing how this book is beating Clinton's on the best seller list. If true, I'm guessing the sales are NOT from individual buys but from bulk sales. The old conservative trick: get the billionaire boys to buy in bulk in order to artificially alter the bestseller lists, which is why Coulter's books always get the dagger on the list: indicates bulk buys, not individual sales.
Most of these books end up being warehoused and then handed out as party favors during rightwing fundraisers.
The aim is to give Americans the sense that America is conservative and just can't get enough of rightwing reading. However, book stores tell a different story. The people buying books, one at a time, are most often buying the "liberal" books. The rightwing books end up on the discount shelf.

12. This is true...
I listen to her show sometimes in the morning on KCMO (all right wing all the time).
I have a little transistor radio in my bathroom.
In the morning when I am (ahem) taking care of my three S's I listen to this little transistor radio.
Mostly sports talk.
When the sports talk stations are in break, sometimes I listen to whatever garbage she is spewing.
So yes, her show is wonderful...

FOR ME TO POOP TO!!!!!

13. Right-wing double standard on sexual morality
Rightists often claim to have the higher moral ground on sexual
morality, being for sexual abstinence before marriage. But do they
hold that position consistently? Not when it comes to teen boys
getting it on with adult women, teachers in particular.

Just take a look at Free Republic. Read the comments posted on these threads
relating to boys being sexually active with their teachers. While
there are some dissenting opinions, the majority of (presumably male)
Free Republic posters think this is acceptable behavior as long as the
woman is attractive. Only if the woman is ugly do they have a problem
with it. There is a glaring lack of outrage that would be expressed if
the situation involved teen sex, man-girl sex, or the worst -
homosexual sex. See the following comments under each story:

Or these, in a similar vein:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1894309/posts

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1827222/posts

This is just a sample, but there's much more where it came from. What
will the men who defend this behavior think when their innocent
daughters date a boy who was deflowered at 14 by a teacher? Seems like
rightists need to get their house in order if they want any moral
credibility.
